This is one of my favorite beaches on Maui! The water is crystal clear and not rocky as soon as you step out into the water. There is amazing snorkeling off to the left where you'll see a wide variety of fish and the occasional...More

Clear water, no shells to poke your feet, no seaweed to smell, no riptides. Was a little odd that I hardly saw any fish. One of the best beaches I have been to for pure relaxation.

We really only spent a couple hours here. The snorkeling was fantastic. Calm waters, clear, and beautiful, plentiful fish and coral. The beach is beautiful, but a bit small and sorta crowded. Get your snorkel gear in Kihei at the Snorkel Store. It's far more...More

This is one of the world's best beaches for families and people of every age! Soft sand, no shells to step on and warm, clear waters!

I sure enjoyed away there's great snorkeling and they rent paddle boards. The lifeguards are really helpful and will set up chairs for you. I recommend this because not many people go and the beach is mostly private.

Just beautiful - super waves to have great fun in. Extremely clean beach with lovely golden sand though some volcanic rock also. Seen lots of weddings on the beach during our visit - great location for it. One of the best beaches we've visited.

Breathtaking beach in Maui--everywhere we looked was like a post card with volcano backdrops, palm trees, sand. Snorkeling was awesome right off the beach. Can't wait to go back

Great beach to hang in the water. There is nice level sand to hang out in the waves (not too big when we were there). My son claims it was the softest sand he's experienced on a beach. Plenty of beach space and not too...More

You can always go get in your car and drive to Makawao which is a cool little town that is "upcountry"...or you can just walk next door to the hotel and shop at the mall.
