We should have made this our daily routine and will next time. This is the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. It is our 15th wedding anniversary and this was a true gift!

This beach is visually beautiful but most people can't safely swim here. The waves are humongous and come crashing in to shore at an incredible speed and strength. The life guard on duty is continually sounding out warnings to which people don't listen. He kept...More

Part of Makena State Park, this beach is awesome! Water is clear, beach is large enough to not feel too crowded.

This was the second beach we visited on our trip. It's not well marked as Oneloa beach; the signage indicates Makena Beach and then you walk towards the left and arrive at Oneloa. The beach wasn't terribly busy at 11:00-ish when we arrived but would...More

Large sandy beach but no swimming because of high surf. No facilities except for filthy portapotty. Just took a stroll and left.

Awesome waves!! Although we didn't go swimming, walking along the beach/water was great with the wave sounds, laughter from people playing in the waves (challenging by the looks of it), sunshine and watching the whales in the distance.

Also called "Big Beach," and very confusing if you try to find "Makena Beach," since there are a few that go by that name, Oneloa Beach is in a natural park and is an enormous, crescent slice of perfect blonde sand cradled by volcanic paths...More

After visiting a couple of other beaches we liked this one best. It is big enough to find your spot without feeling like you are into someone else's space. Beach is fairly steep so not great for surfing. Reasonable snorkelling

Nice sand and this beautiful beach is fun. Water is a bit ruff most times. Clean sand and lifeguards on duty too. Parking can be tuff if you get there late.
