Great place to snorkel early in the day.

Can walk in to snorkel or play in the clear waters. Gets more crowded and current gets stronger by the rocks about 11am. Best to stick to swimming after that.

I would rate this beach as average. It's more of a local beach which is cool, but I wouldn't recommend if you want a "post card" Maui beach. Check out Big Beach just a few minutes south if you want a "screen saver" type beach in Makena. We went here because we were told there was a lot of Green... More

Visiting this was a beautiful ending for our week long stay! This particular day was not crowded and was, well, Hawaii at its best!

Very quiet and almost private butiful sandy beach. Early in the morning is the best time to snorkel and see turtles and colorful fish.

We drove to the end of the road and found a parking spot nearby. When we walked to the beach, we found about 40 people on the beach and no one in the water. We were then told that some fisherman had been chumming and that that had attracted some sharks.

This was one our favorite beaches in all of Maui. It is gorgeous and was not very crowded when we went. Seemed like a lot of locals frequent this beach. Seems good for swimming, did not try snorkeling here.

Clean beach. Calm waters in the morning if you are looking for a place to SUP. Parking and washrooms across the street.

This is a beautiful beach. Depending on the time of day this can be a great beach for snorkeling or body surfing. There are a lot of sea turtles in this area. In the afternoon it gets very windy and the surf kicks up. This is the time you can go body surfing. Prepare to have a bucket of sand... More

Arrived at about 9am on a weekday and there was plenty of parking - parking lot is opposite the church about 100m from the beach. It was surprisingly busy at the beach as some tour boats drop off people at this beach. There are also lots of tour boats and kayaks in the water. Snorkelled at the southern end near... More

We came upon this spot after going to Big and Little beach on a sunday, which were packed with people. Maybe 20 people total at this location. Good snorkling and boggie boarding. Bathroom at the south end and some shade trees at the north. It has a great pick up and drop off area at the north too. Very few... More
