Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The lovely old churches and parishes are part of the extraordinary wealth of what the Spanish brought to Mexico, in the 16th century.

First of all, I would like to point out that the photograph that appears here is for St. Gabriel's convent and church in San Pedro Cholula. San Andrés Cholula is the next town over, and it has a central church on the Zocalo, which is worth visiting. It is a centuries old church, with lots of history. The paintings and the altar backdrop are worth studying. The central dome collapsed during the 1999 earthquake, but it has been restored almost to what it was before.

This is part of the old town. The church is very large and has a lot of cool details in it. It is a very nice place to see and know.

This is a beautiful church which was unfortunately hardly hit by the earthquakes (leave a small donation for rebuilding the convent). It is still worth visiting it - come in the morning because some parts of the area are closed in the afternoon.
