This museum gives a good perspective on Arctic life with many models of the housing and activities that give a good idea of the difficulties in such an environment. Worth a visit.

This little museum is a very useful introduction to life and history of Ilulissat and its environs. It is small enough to see everything in an hour or two but covers the ground of geology, history and traditional life and work pursuits in admirable breadth. Everything is labelled in three languages including English so it's very accessible. Some of the... More

Very interesting museum with lots of information about Greenland including famous explorer Knud Rasmussen who was born in the house. Some of the exhibition rooms seem too crowded and could need a new display

The old home of Knud Rasmussen is converted to a nice small museum. The exhibition gives plenty of information of the history of the area and Knud Rasmussen´s life.

this museum will give you an excellent overview of the history of Greenland and its' peoples. It is not big so very manageable. Right in town you can walk to it.

The touristic demand is obviously there. So please, in addition to the symbolic place of the birth of Rasmussen, arrange another museum showing more about the past of Ilulissat, its maritime connections, its natural patrimony and how people used to live there. Friendly people of Ilulissat, give us a chance to know you more. Thanks
