We walked the length of the Punta Gorda peninsula and started just before sunset. It had to be over a mile (roughly two kms) and by the time we got to the southern tip it was dark. We should have started a bit earlier. While we were at the tip a city bus pulled up and we piled in with... More

Was a nice walk down here. Views are very much the same all the way down. There is a nice little park at the end of Punta Gorda which I would recommend going to.

Punta Gorda is a smooth save walk area of fisherman and privates where you can spot paladar restaurants like El pelicano that can be a good treat

It was a long walk from the city center to Punta Gorda. The view was nice and it's a good place for relaxing. But I wouldn't like to go swimming at this "beach". There was a lot of broken glass in the sand. It was ok there but not as beautiful as described in the travel guide. However I spent... More

After spending 3 nights near the Plaza Jose Marti and then 3 nights in Trinidad, we returned to Cienfuegos for a final night before flying out the next morning, and spent that night in the Punta Gorda section. It feels like a completely different city--newer houses, beautiful views of the bay, quiet and relaxing. It is near the Club Cienfuegos... More

It wasn't really worth the walk. If you have nothing better to do, go ahead, but it's not that special

Good vantage point fro seeing the size and shape of the bay. There is a small bar, a park, and a spot where people from the town seem to go for a dip in the bay. We even saw some night snorkeling there one evening, which was fun the watch.

Enjoyed the walks here in the evening. The night life is quite with many of the locals and lovers under the lamp post
