We woke up early and we’re very excited about doing the underground tour, even calling ahead. They told us that tours start at 10 am, but once we got there they told us that they don’t start tours until 11:30. There were 10 people ready...More

Well done ! A no frills representation of the Nova Scotia coal mining era. EXCELLENT docent, a miner himself, with a pleasant demeanor...great with the youngsters. Warning....the subterranean venture requires a person to sustain a squatted, bent-over posture for a majority of the tour, 42"...More

Dear Kylie S, Thanks for letting us and tripadvisor know about your experience at our Museum. Eric is a gem and because he was a coal miner for over 30 years he is well able to tell our mining story. Safe Travels, Mary Pat
