We loved the small shops and galleries and when we got tired we sat at one of the many cafes and restaurants. Just walking on the street, you can see many preserved building which teach you of how the area used to look many years ago. The street is beautiful at night too, but the shops ate closed. Nearby you... More

went there during the day height of the season. there are little stores with home decorations, hippie clothing, cafes and restaurants. I wasn't blown away by the selection of merchandise. the area is smaller than the Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall in Jerusalem and the stores more commercial than the stores say in Safed. I wasn't impressed. I was hoping there... More

A very nice pedestrian zone in the center of old Zichron Yaacov. Old houses reconstructed , shops and restaurants. Very peaceful walk . Go there at sunset .

This renovated street in the Center of Zichron Ya'akov is lined with restaurants, cheap eateries and more expensive ones (make prior reservations). At night it looks really romantic and even though many shops are closed on Friday nights, there still are quite a lot of people milling around, most of them on their way to a restaurant, snack bar, ice... Zichron Yaakov is renowned for its wineries but its history is fascinating and well told by a walk up and the 'mall'. Many of the buildings are preserved but the quirky shops and good selection of restaurants blend in well. The location is great and the views from its commanding height are added value. Don't leave it off your itinerary!

We had just a lovely stroll getting in and out of little shops and squares. Very European style, but then not. Nice bars and terraces to hang out and very beautiful buildings.
