There is a lot of history packed into this smallish museum. The most fascinating room in the museum was a room focused on the African art and heritage of the slaves brought over to the Americas.

Visited the museum with Jeremy of Miss Lou Heritage Tours. Jeremy gave us a different perspective of Natchez and its history. Don't miss him or one of his Tours as they help compliment what you see and hear in the homes during Pilgrsmsge.

We only had about 30min to dedicate to the museum, and when we arrived we decided to join the group discussion. I had read Lies My Teacher Told Me (a great read for those who haven't) so the discussion of Reconstruction wasn't new for me...More
