Limited free parking across the road, but lots of parking available in town which is a short walk away. Entrance fee is minimal. I paid 60p! Well kept grounds. This is a shrine to St Winifred and has been a place of religious pilgrimage for over a 1000 years. The well has crystal clear water bubbling up into a swimming... More

Decided to visit this 'Holy well' after visiting Holywell many times and never venturing to the Well itself. After paying a very reasonable £1 entrance fee (which goes to towards the upkeep of the site), and after a quick read all about the history of the site in the visitor centre is was just a short stroll though the gardens... Staff were so polite helpful and we bought some nice beads and other items all fairly priced. Bought well water bottles. Exhibition was... More

We decided to visit the well after reading an article. The place is easy to find and well signed as it has brown signs for direction. Parking is fine across the road in a small free car park. The place it's self is set within the bottom of a valley and the well contained within medieval stonework. There is centuries... More

Don't know who the strange couple are who seem to run the place but they were quite rude when caught out trying too dupe us out of money on the card machine. Thou shalt not steal! We will be writing to the diocesan office at Wrexham about them. Never the less, a beautiful shrine that needs a bit of TLC... More

An unexpected visit, as we didn't know this holy water well was here. Intriguing and charming. The Lourdes of Wales indeed.

I drive past this venue every time I visit my folks in Prestatyn but I had never called in. However, I decided that today was the day. I arrived early and was pleased that I was on my own and had the place to myself. It is a very spiritual place, and it's history is amazing. Although not spiritual in... More
