This facility had outdated exhibits on rocks, Indians, animals, etc. their temporary exhibits on blown glass and wind up toys/musical instruments were the most interesting but not worth the admission fee. Be sure you really want to spend your money and the few hours to walk through it's two floors.

Nice museum in a fantastic old mansion with several new additions. Exhibits on art, local history, good feature exhibits.

This is one of the more disappointing museums in the area. The amount of exhibits is not worth the price of admission. I've been there with my kids (5-9 years old) 3 times in 3 years, hoping each time that there would be something new. However, the permanent exhibits are nothing special (rarely if ever changed or improved upon). They... More

The museum houses a permanent collection as well as traveling exhibits. Check web site for current events. Interesting inventory of artifacts in a variant of fields Great model railroad set up on the lower level. Kids have a wonderful time here. Blockbuster exhibit of LEGO creations a few years back. Definitely worth a visit for families.

First time visiting this museum what a great place not only for adults to visit for kids too! We would come back, especially when they change the exhibits The miniature train exhibit is hands-on active and super fun for kids of all ages The dinosaur exhibit is also a hands-on fun & educational. They have bones replicas and casts of... More

Thousands of paintings dedicated to art and artists. The museum also houses the Center for the Study of Southern Art, a reference and research library that includes archives pertaining to artists working in the South. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

Really enjoyed the automated music and automata exhibit and the miniature exhibit. This site has a small collection of artwork, primarily portraits. The model railroads were a big hit with the kids and adults alike. The museum does a great job including hands on exhibits to keep everyone engaged. Small collections including fossils, Native American, Papa New Guinea, Lego's, and... More

Our first visit, but well worth it. It's a friendly place - not too big, but with five or six distinct gallery / exhibit areas. We particularly enjoyed the NJ Diner exhibit, the Guinness collection of musical pieces and Automata and to our surprise, the kids (9 year old girls) LOVED the exhibit of minerals and semi-precious stones. Would go... More

Let me first say that I really wanted to like this museum. With the Morristown national historical site nearby, and being in close proximity to my house, I have been slowly seeing more and more of the cultural offerings in this area. The museum was a disappointment because the majority of exhibits seemingly were set up for children to enjoy... More

We a nice time at the Morris Museum. Small and interesting place tucked in a quiet corner of Morristown. However, Brickford Theatre is also there and we enjoyed watching a lovely show. Keep checking the upcoming shows since the theatre is not very large and viewing from any corner is fantastic. I would recommend visiting both once you are in... More
