I came across Yedigöller while searching for places to visit on Google. I immediately searched for the comments of those who went there. There was not one negative comment. There were people who said it was a hidden paradise, but others who said it was beautiful like this, etc. We set out as a family, 40 km away from Bolu, and drove on winding mountain roads with our own vehicle. The road conditions were terrible. Beyond that, it was terrible. First of all, that road is never worth it. We endured the trouble of the road with the hope that it would be beautiful when we arrived. When we arrived at Yedigöller, oh my God, what a disaster, it is not a flat place, it is always a steep place downhill, there is not even a walking path, it is no different from an ordinary pond, known as a lake. There are a few lakes, what was it, all the praises, etc. I passed them all because of the crowd, human traffic, vehicle traffic, everyone is crawling towards each other, my experience was nothing but a disaster (and those who praised the place on Google, haven't they ever traveled or seen a place anywhere else? I don't understand why they boasted so much) If they told me that everything belongs to us, 1 week accommodation plus plus we will pay as much as you want, I will never go there again, I will never go there again, I repent, the way is one way, the way out is in one direction, I climbed a place like Bolu Mountain, and on the way back, it was a dirt road. I passed all of them, why was it such a problem, there is no greenery, there is plenty of forest, I have nothing to say to him, but the region is always forest anyway. Yedigöller has no pros, there are thousands of minuses, it can't be explained, it has to be experienced, what can I say, the roads are forked and winding for those who want to go, there is no stopping anyone, but me and my surroundings will never go. I won't let you, there isn't even a place to sit until we get there, what is there in the country?

The road to the National Park is easier from Mengen rather than Bolu. However, we drove from Bolu and the road is full of bends and takes over an hour to do 40 km. The park is stunning especially in Autumn with the leaves changing red, gold, and brown. There are seven small lakes in the park and you can easily walk around the lakes by following the footpaths and bridges. Fires and barbecuing are not allowed but there are picnic tables, gazebos and fresh running water. You can also camp in the main car park where there are toilets. Definitely one of the cleanest parks I have seen in Turkey.

I was there 30 years ago and wanted to see the nature again but going there was quite painful. There was a long line while entering and exiting. We had to to extra 100 km as the traffic was jammed in the park. The nature is good but if possible do not go on a weekend.

First of all, if you are a nature lover, come from Mengen road. Those who say there are bad roads, dust etc. can have a barbecue in the parks in the city. The road is very enjoyable and visually stunning. When you think about what else could happen, you come to seven goals. Park your car in the park, not on the road. These are the ones that cause density.

It's a wonderful park. I have visited many places, I never thought a national park could be this clean. The only problem is the way. You can climb to an altitude of 1600-1700 meters with very winding, steep ramps. Some parts are quite narrow. When two vehicles come side by side, it is almost impossible to pass without stopping. However, I think the view you see when you cross this road is worth everything. It is one of the places to go and see.

The day trip to the park was amazing but I really struggled to get fair information online to get ready for the tour. So I'll try to be very specific to help others out:

- the road from Bolu is great, all asphalt and absolutely no need of a 4x4 vehicle.
- it is however narrow and sinuous as a typical sierra and mountainous landscape and it will really take 1.5-2 hours to get there. Leave Bolu by 8am.
- the road to get to the park is much more scenic than the park itself. So drive slowly, enjoy the views and do not hesitate to stop wherever you can.
- the kapankaya peak from where you have the greatest view from all is located outside the park. You go up a stairway and get amazed! There are signs on the road and an improvised place for parking nearby.
- once in the park, there is a large parking lot close to Buyuk lake, the largest one.
- the lakes are nice, but small, and you can easily reach all of them. The trail from the parking lot towards the entrance from Bolu is great.
- again, the park will not topple the sightseeing from across the road.
- 3-4 hours should suffice to get to know the place.

We decided to go on an excursion to Yedigöller National Park (which means Seven Lakes in Turkish) in November 2012. We reached there after a grueling drive from city of Bolu. It was a dirt forest road where you can not drive with a speed over 20 km/h. I think they intentionally do not build an asphalt road in order to keep the nature as it is. So it takes at least 2 hours to get there. On the way you may ask yourself if it is worth this trouble, but once you arrive there you do not regret your time spent driving and see why this place is a must-see.
The basin was formed as a result that the land slided and blocked the valley. Here there are seven lakes interconnected with ground waters and surface flow.

The Seven Lakes National Park is very popular among photographers especially during fall when the leaves start to change colors. There is no settlement around there. I saw some bungalows only. But many people were pitching their tents to stay the night.

There are beech trees, oaks, horn beams, firs, spruces, alders and black pines in the area.

They say there are some wild animals living in the area like red deer, roe deer, wild boar, brown bear, wolf, red fox, lynx, jungle cat, otter here. But I did not meet any of them.

42km from Bolu center and 48km from mengen road. Bolu center road is newly restored so preffer that road. Because of bendind roads it takes 1.5-2 hours to reach there. There are hiking maps in both entrance. 7 lakes flow each other. Since it is located in a deep valley sun enters late and leaves early. Dont be late for photo attraction. On weekends it will be very crowd and noisy! Prefer weekdays for sikence. Entrance fee is 5tl per car and 3.5tl per person. Contains a camp area. Camping fire is not allowed. Especially on fall the changing colors of tree leafs are impressive.

The lakes are great and everyone should see such beauty at least once. Yet, in the national park, roads are so insufficient that we spent 1 hour to enter and 1,5 to hours to leave. Also, the pathways among the lakes are tight so you have to wait for the idiots to take their selfies before you move forward.
