Hairy drive down but well worth the drive. At the foot of the mountain with little restaurant closed at present, and parking

Visited Javea on our recent trip to Spain and went a kayak trip with a local company. We departed from Granadella and found this place amizingly beautiful. We visited in February and according to our guide that was a very first sunny day of the year so we decided to enjoy sunshine. We were alone for long and enjoyed totally... More

Highlight of my holiday , lovely beach. Visited when it was lovely and quiet too. I'm betting it's very busy during the summer months

Pebbly beach so wear beach shoes. Snorkeling is good right off the beach. Parking can be tricky so get there early. Good little restaurant on the beach.

I should not really tell you this: I want this beach to be kept a secret, it's sooo good! But beware, quite a few people already know and in the summer, be early or there will be nowhere to park!

Can be tricky to park down there but well worth it. wear plastic shoes as its very stoney not a sandy beach, A few restaurants down there for drinks and meals. Sur does great paellas. When the sun goes down everyone leaves so can be lovely and peaceful. Swimming out on a lilo is great. Always look out for jellyfish... More

La Granadella beach has frequently been named one of the 10 best beaches in Spain. And maybe it is. However, the reality of this stony cove (it's not really a 'beach') is that it's so tiny and underserviced that it can be a living hell during the summer. One of the most beautiful spots in the area though spoiled somewhat by the recent terrible fires. Very quiet and tranquil out of season with just a couple of small cafes for a welcome drink.
