We hiked several trails and saw few other people. Even in the winter it was a fantastic place to hike.

We love to go and hike the trails. There are easy ones for young children and strenuous ones for more experienced hikers. It has 2 overlooks which have great views of Frederick and Middletown valley. They were spectacular when the leaves were changing. There are also many picnic tables. Pets are not allowed.

AT trail is accessible at the top overlook area. Some short but strenuous trails about midway up the road. Camping area with small pond. Best thing are the overlooks on a clear day and history of the park

We enjoy camping in the great outdoors. This is not it. We went here because it was close to work and we could get out and set up quickly for a quiet weekend in the woods. I would describe the camping spots similar to camping in your driveway with a pretty clear view of your neighbors. If you want an... More

Nice hiking trails with great views. Unfortunately, just a little to close to Dulles airport flight patterns and I70 traffic noise.

Minutes from downtown Frederick, affords great hiking mountain biking and beautiful campsites. Restrooms are clean and it's pet friendly. A little piece of heaven just 20 minutes out of town.

Great simple to follow trail system for hiking, trail running, or Mountain biking. They also have a great facility at the top of the mountain (the Tea Room) to rent out for events. There are also some shelters to rent out for picnics and a campground at the bottom of the mountain.

Stayed here twice in July so that the dog and I could do some hiking. They have some really nice trails. The Rangers that I had contact with were above and beyond helpful and friendly. Both camp sites that I had were nice, had one with electric on one visit and one without to try out how long my batteries... More

Came here for Park Quest and was impressed with how well the trails were marked and how beautiful the scenery is here. There were natural play areas for the kids and amazing overlooks. Got some great family pics here. Take advantage of your state parks, they are so worth it!
