The museum was very informative and enjoyable. It was rather small in size, but had very good exhibits and well written documentations. It was an worthwhile experience, items were well displayed and the museum was not overwhelming. It would be worth a second visit.

It is a very interesting museum filled with artifacts and information about the Civil War nursing, surgical and medical challenges and practices. We also visited the Pry House Field Hospital Museum near the Antietam Battlefield.

My mother in law is a nurse and made me go with her. I was not excited, but it turned out to be pretty interesting. If you like history, or just learning about new things, its a great side trip while in Frederick
