One of the most spectacular beaches I've been to. In summer it's very busy and I don't encourage visiting during July and August . Very crowded although access is regulated by Xunta de Galicia. A must, where nature shows its beauty at its highest level.

Playa de las Catedrales is an amazing sight of nature. The force of the ocean combined with the rock formation makes it a must-see sight. Unfortunately I was not there for the low tide where you can walk between the rock formation. I will be...More

Nature is surprisingly artistic in drawing immortal landscapes. Take care because you need a free reservation online to visit the Playa!!! If not you may only see the fantastic landscape from the cliffs To be seen!

We visited for about 2 hours and the rock formations and caves were impressive but the number of people there was more so! You have to book in advance online (or some local hotels have forms from reception) and a maximum of 5000 people were...More

Beautiful- clean tidy organized - I really enjoy my stroll here ! Don't forget to register online or I don't think you'll be allowed on the beach and come at low tide or you'll miss parts !

Needed to get tickets - free online. Definitely worth going to to see the see the seascapes. However quite crowded on a Saturday. Swimming was prohibited - though there were lifeguards visible. However, this may have been due to the heavy swell.

Fantastic coastal rock formations with amazing sandy beaches and crystal clear water. We went in July and had to book a reserved access slot in advance so were expecting it to be uncomfortably busy but this was not the case. The area is well managed...More

After putting our begs in the Hotel in Ribadeo, we took our car and drove to the shore. Our car navigation made some mismatches, therefore we used the phone navigator. Once we parked the car, in order to go down to the sand one need...More

Stopped here on our way from Galicia to Cantabria. Had a lovely walk and can see why it is so well liked. Beautiful piece of coastline well worth a visit.

The low tide lasts up to 4 hours. You should allow yourself at least an hour to explore the entire beach area and take amazing pictures. The guards at the entrance will tell you how much time you have left before the water... More
