While we were visiting the Atlanta History Center, we had the opportunity to see the Swan House. It is a mansion with beautiful grounds located at the History Center. Each room fascinating in and of itself. The library was the owner's favorite. It was wonderful to see how the kitchen, dining room and parlor was set up. The bedrooms and... More

If you're a Hunger Games fan you won't want to miss a visit to President Snow's home, also know as The Swan House. It is so beautiful and they have kept some of the filming memorabilia so that fans can see it. You will also get to see some great history in the house. Make sure you test out the... More

There is so much to see and to do here. So many rooms to walk through and look at. The library was my favorite room. Very educational for my children. We really enjoyed the Swan House.

Went with my book club after reading the book by the same name. Beautiful home and grounds. Paired this with lunch out.

Had a wonderful time at the mansion on this past Sunday. Was fortunate that the "architect" was there. He pointed out various interesting design tidbits and gave us some insight to what he and Mrs. Ingram wanted to achieve. Truly made the visit come alive! Don't skip the exhibit in the basement--it houses the architect's personal collection. We almost didn't... More

We toured these beautiful grounds, back to front. We parked on the back side of the property and walked through the leaf covered trails cut between the urban wilderness. This brought us up to the backside of the house, where we viewed the guest cabin and gardens. After circling around to the front where we took a tour of the... More

Swan House used to provide guided tours with docents, but now it is self guided. I visited with my sisters and it was fine as we could be leisurely and spend more time with the rooms and things that interested us more. They have recently completed some renovations and everything was in good shape and lovingly preserved. My favorite part... More

The Inman family lived here at the turn of the century. The house is grand for its time and is particularly interesting with its Victorian kitchen and its 1950's personal bathroom upstairs. Ms. Inman lived there until the 1960's, but I guess she didn't cook herself. The terraced back yard and its grand fountain call to mind The Great Gatsby... More

This is a classic Atlanta mansion with a lovely little restaurant in the coach house... overall a very nice addition to the Atlanta Historical Museum (all on the same property). The 1930's "owner", a man who portrayed Mr. Inman, gave the tour of "his house" and gave us a view of life back in the glory days of Buckhead (when... More
