We're always looking for ways to avoid getting "things" for holidays and birthdays, so whenever family asks for gift ideas for our kids we tell them "experiences"... this was one of the experience gifts we've gotten for 2 years running now, and we've LOVED it! We've got a 2yo and a 5yo, and they are both finally at the age... More

My husband and I do not have kids, yet we have visited the Center for Puppetry Arts about ten times in the last eight years. We have taken adult and child family members and friends to experience the museum on several occasions. The recent renovations of the Jim Henson Wing is phenomenal. The Center also renovated the "regular museum" area... More

We decided to visit with my 3 month old while on vacation in Atlanta. We were drawn in by the Jim Henson exhibit. I had been hoping to see just a few of his creations but they had so many more! My mother, aunt, and myself were brought back to our childhoods with the vibrant displays of the various Henson... More

So I am a huge Labyrinth and Dark Crystal fan. I also live 1 hour and 40 minutes from Atlanta. I knew going in that the museum was only going to have a limited number of items from both movies. But as strange as it may sound, I am a 40 year old male who loves puppets. A good puppeteer... More

We have a collection of puppets from around the world so this was a must see. Public transport to get there wasn't bad but we had to walk round 3½ sides of the building to get in. The puppets are interesting and well woth the visit.

I visited because they currently have a Labyrinth exhibit. Very nice exhibit with items from the movie, and notes about each prop.

My friend dragged me to this. I feel in love with the place. I think we could have spent another hour in there but they were getting ready to close. It will put you in a good mood seeing all the puppets from childhood.

Went when they had the Henson/Labyrinth exhibit on and it was beautifully done. The world collection is worth a good hour or two, and lots of hands on and color and kid programs and we had a blast. Not a budget breaker, either. I absolutely loved it.

I really loved this place. We were not able to attend a live performance, but my 8 year old boys and I really enjoyed the museum. The puppets from around the world exhibit was great and had several cool interactive displays. They even had several Julie Taymor pieces from the Lion King musical. Visit this side first & then head... More
