We took our girl scout troop here (ages 5-10) and they had a wonderful time. Even the adults enjoyed themselves.

We love to take our two grandkids to the Center for Puppetry Arts at least one a year when we visit. This last trip was Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer at Christmas. They put on a very original and entertaining show. Hard to believe as you watch how they create the effects they do. But after the show they give... More

This was an excellent trip down memory lane for the Jim Henson section. Preservation and attention to key details can be seen throughout the museum. The history of puppetry from around the world showed the artistry involved and the messages behind some creations. I will recommend this to any big kid at heart and to inquisitive little minds...no touching.

Today was my first visit to see the museum since it's update 2 years ago and it is very impressive. We chose a time so that we could have a docent during the tour and it was well worth the planning. In the past I've had season tickets for children's shows and season tickets for the adult xperimental theatre and... More

Ok, just so you understand my bias from the beginning I love the muppets. I also love other puppets, but Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock, Muppet movies, The Dark Crystal, and Labyrinth shaped my young --and who am I kidding current--life. The center for puppetry arts has the largest collection of Henson's things. This is in part because the center for... More

If you are interested in puppetry and/or a big Jim Henson fan, then the Center for Puppetry Arts is the place to go. It is a big place and the Jim Henson exhibit has more than I’ve seen in other exhibits. You get to know the man and how he and his crew created some the most lovable puppets in... More

We haven't been since they remodeled and added the Jim Henson wing. We saw Rodolph and it was spectacular! The center has been nicely remodeled. Their puppet museum is spectacular! If you love The Muppets it's worth a trip alone. I've seen two puppet shows and both were very well done. If I didn't live 2 hours away I would... More

This brought back childhood memories of the Muppets and was a fascinating look at how they were made. But not just the Muppets, it also included some Sesame Street characters and Labyrinth as well as a multicultural look at the history of puppetry

It had been many years since my last visit, before the expansion of the museum. My sister and her 20s aged daughters wanted to see the Labyrinth exhibit. The first showing of Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer was sold out, and we didn't have time to hang around for the next show. Hopefully, they will bring it back next year. We... More
