The Atlanta History Center is located in one of Atlanta's most vibrant communities where the stories and mysteries of our region thrive. Our 33-acre experience features award-winning exhibitions, historic houses, enchanting gardens, interactive activities and a variety of year-round adult and family programs. With ticket admission, our guests enjoy complimentary parking and all-inclusive access to Atlanta History Center destinations. The Atlanta History Museum is located at the Atlanta History Center. The Atlanta History Center also features the Swan House mansion, Smith Family Farm, the Margaret Mitchell House, the Centennial Olympic Games Museum, and five permanent exhibitions. Last historic home tours begin at 4pm

A place rich on Atlanta's history. They have stuff from the Civil war, Vietnam, and the Confederates. Also the Smith House to see how people lived in those times is very interesting.

Hidden right in Buckhead is this wonderful History Center. We loved that there were indoor exhibits as well as beautiful walking paths that took you to authentic period homes from the Atlanta area. The employees in the Swan House played the characters of 1930's help...More

Well done museum, but the Swan House is definitely the highlight. Really enjoyed exploring the mansion. Would also recommend lunch at the Swan Coach Restaurant. Did not get to visit the Margaret Mitchell house that is included with ticket.

There a some ramps but there are elevators in the building. Sorry for the delay in response. The building is old but they are current with codes.
