We did two hikes here, one to the Pogue and the other to the summit of Mt Tom via Faulkner Park trails. The hike to the pogue was very easy and was easily traversed by our three little dogs. It’s a bit of an uphill...More

The view is awesome from the top, but it does take some effort with a lot of switchbacks. Narrow trail, as long as moderate to steep grades are okay.

Super easy “hike” up many well maintained switchbacks to the top of Mt. Tom. We parked at the grassy picturesque Faulkner Park (free on street parking) which is right off the main road. There’s a pretty little grassy loop at the top with a couple...More

easy access to the top on switchback trail or shorter, steeper Precipice Trail, both through pristine woods and with rails to help on steeper areas and slippery rocks - good for almost any walker

We asked the concierge at the Woodstock Inn where we could find some "virgin snow" for snowshoeing and she suggested Mt. Tom....it was awesome. Deep snow, fresh air, no crowds and great terrain!

We went on what we thought would be a 30 minute hike to the top of Mt. Tom. Unfortunately, the map did not have trail names on it so we got very lost!!!!! 312 hours later we made it down. Great views though!

Cross middle bridge from woodstock center (right in front of woodstock inn) go straight in Mountain avenue and follow Faulkner Trail sign on the right. Even with the snow the path is clearly marked and easy to follow. Nice and easy walk into the woods,...More

This mountain offers a wide variety of strolls and hikes depending on weather (snow, ice, summer) and people (there are stroller friendly routes). And very close to Woodstock, in fact in Woodstock itself so great to combine with lunch in Woodstock.

Easy hike up the mountain on a leisurely winding trail. Can be difficult at the end (there is a wire handrail to help guide in the final stretch) but overall a simple walk. We saw many families with young children as well as older couples...More

It is an easy hike from the parking lot off Prosper Road. Not too much elevation and what there is is gradual. The view is worth it!

It's doable on one of the trails, but not all of them. I can't recall the name of the trail we ascended on, it was much safer than the one we descended on.
