We were in town just in time for Hurricane Leslie to hit the coast of Portugal. Needless to say, the waves were quite amazing! It was windy and a bit chilly standing so exposed in some areas, but certainly made for good picture taking.
What a sight along this coast in Peniche, the sound of sea, the sun set, the sun rise.......WOW is all I can say and totally utterly recommend it.
You can walk or drive, with plenty of spots to park up.
It is the most western cape of the Portuguese mainland north of Cabo da Roca. To the west is possible to see the small archipelago of the Berlengas, integrated with a natural reserve terrestrial and marine.
