Xemxija, known mainly for it's sea side apartments and large bay, offers a hidden gem of a trail. Some very interesting history along the walk featuring caves, graffiti and some of the oldest bee hives in the world! Not a long trek, but very interesting!

You'll have to do some homework before walking the trail by getting hold of a map from St Paul's Bay Local Council or the information centre in Bugibba but it's well worth the effort because it's a fascinating short walk through history. The walk takes...More

There is a lot to see and learn on this walk. Signage is better than a year ago with plants also identified. Worth the hard walk up (elderly!).

I've seent tourist & expats cleaning up this area (the apiary etc), and it's a wonderful thing. Thankfully there is someone taking care of this area as it's a great walk through a specific period in Malta's history. There's an apiary, a home, punic tombs,...More

Hi Raina You'll find the trail just behind the Porto Azzurro Hotel. You walk up the street and find the start of the trail (stones & ground). Enjoy! Cat
