Fantastic tour and tasting
Nov. 2020 • Friends
Marco was a fantastic guide! He walked us through the beautiful cellar, explaining the art of winemaking with expertise and great humor. The tasting was fantastic and the hospitality could not have been better. Highly recommend a visit if looking for a winery with both a mastery of the traditional Valpolicella and Amarone wines of the region but also fantastic new blends bringing a super Tuscan flair to Veneto.

Lovely winery tour + tasting with toddler
Oct. 2019 • Family
Marco is amazing and the owner’s nephew. We enjoyed our time and the cellar is beautiful! We have been fortunate enough to have visited many Italian wineries and in comparison we learned a lot with Marco about the North’s culture and of course the amazing wine. He also speaks English well. Top notch experience! We also appreciated that they were very accommodating to our toddler! Grazie mille. We will enjoy the wine.

Nice winery, poor tasting
Oct. 2019
I agree with the other reviewer from Sept. 2019 about this winery. This winery is located in a lovely area and it was very beautiful to tour. The cellar is amazing. However, this was a wine tour and tasting. The young lady doing the pours must not have wanted us to actually taste the wines, as the pours were so very skimpy. That picture by the other reviewer complaining about the low volume of wine showed the most we received in any pour. We sampled 8 wines and I'm sure that in total, we had less than 4 ounces of wine cumulatively. I had intended to purchase some wine, as I had done on a previous trip to Tuscany, but it was difficult to actually determine what we liked. We paid $20 euro/ person for the tour and tasting, but barely were able to taste the wines. This was the only winery we visited in the region, so we were disappointed.

Excellent winery

Very nice place to taste and buy great wines, in the famous ‘Valpolicello’ district. The surrounding are beautiful and the owner is a very nice guy.

Quality is not an act, it is a habit!

The winery is located in a beautiful area and is an architectural masterpiece.

Marco gave us an amazing tour. He is very passionate about wine and also about the history and family tradition. We have learned a lot ( also about the psychological aspects) and have enjoyed this unique experience to the fullest.

It is definitely recommended to pay Zyme an visit.

very welcoming place

When you visit big producers such as this, you often receive a poor and cold treatment.
That was absolutely not the case at Zyme!
Other than the superb quality of the 8 wines served, Marco did a great job with me and my American friend Scott in teaching us the philosophy behind the wine-production and the architecture of their recently built winery.

Fantastic tour at Zyme
Mar. 2019 • Family
My family had an exceptional tour at Zyme winery with Marco this afternoon - in fact, it was an unforgettable experience! For one, English-speaking Marco was formerly a teacher, and thus was able to engage both my wife and I, experienced wine enjoyers, and our teenage boys for the entire tour of the inner workings of the facility, it’s fascinating history dating back to its use during WW2, and the amazing architectural designs incorporating natural quarry stone an underwater stream providing humidification and modern technological features. We learned all about the history of Italy, the development of the wine industry in the Verona region and specific Zyme vinification processes for their regional varietals. The tasting that followed was an wonderful selection ranging from creamy delicious Spumante to zesty balanced whites to incredible red blends and finishing with their smooth candied late harvest. In our years of wine tasting in many parts of Europe, this was most memorable - we left Zyme with more thorough knowledge of Northern Italian vinification, tasting techniques, and an experience which will foster wine appreciation in my teenage boys for their lifetimes! Thank you so much Marco! We look forward to coming to enjoy your expertise again some day!

Amazing cellar - over priced wines
Mar. 2019 • Friends
Cellar really amazing. Wines were good but very over priced. We toured the area for a number of days and found better amarones at better prices. Also, even though I bought 750 euro of wine, they would not waive the tasting charge. Not one other estate in 3 days charged us.

Nice to see the cellar but would not go back and would not recommend

Great atmosphere, amazing hidden cave
Sep. 2017 • Friends
I visited this winery during summer and found it really interesting. You can taste and buy their wines (also some special types), visit the cellar obtained from a cave underground and get a full description of different types of wines of the Valpolicella region
