Beautiful historic church

I enjoyed attending mass here while I was away from home and was warmly received by the priest and lay persons

This is an historic church which was a popular house of worship for political figures. You can see the pews where Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis' families sat. There are also some beautiful Tiffany stained glass windows.

it is right next to the Capitol and it is a very beautiful Church. We parked in the Garage and walked straight up to the Church.

We were told about the amazing stained glass windows by the capitol building guide and are very glad we visited. The tiffany glass windows are stunning and the church is clearly very well maintained and cared for.

Our guide in the State Capitol urged us to visit St Paul's church nearby. We are glad that we did - it's a great example of open, welcoming church architecture, built some 150 years ago in the Greek Revival style. There are a considerable number of splendid stained glass windows, four of which are Tiffany designed glass. The whole atmosphere... More

This church is across from the state capitol. I went to see the amazing Tiffany stained glass windows, but was also impressed by the overall beauty of the entire sanctuary. Both Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis attended this church.

Beautiful church with the most amazing stained glass windows that I have ever seen. The organ on the top level is also great to see. The pews that Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis used are marked with plaques. The whole church is very accessible and well worth the visit.

I found out a relative of mine was the lead soloist and choir director of St. Paul's Episcopal Church during the latter years of the Civil War, so during a recent visit to Richmond, I had to visit it. The church is across the street from the State Capital complex in downtown Richmond. Parking is available apparently during the week... More

This is near the Confederacy White House and Confederacy Museum. No Admission. A very lovely historical church whose members included Jefferson Davis and Robert E Lee and their families while in Richmond Virginia. Plaques on the side of the benches show where each family sat. Like other commentators, it has a lovely organ and very beautiful stained glass windows. A... More

This is a beautiful church with a lot of history. We took a quick walk through. It is Definitely worth a stop if you are near by.
