I've been to the National many times. Concerts are great which outweighs the fact that there are no places to sit and at my age chairs would be appreciated (Look into the Howard Theatre in DC). Good beer - Legend's Brown but a little pricey.

Was just walking past and lines were gathering. Three bands I had never heard of playing that night. Beautiful building inside and out. Had a great time.

Not a bad seat in the house! The seats were folding chairs, but they were pretty comfortable. Beautiful old building. Since all the seats were good, will definitely see other events there! And well....Bianca was well....F*ing HILARIOUS!

The National has a great atmosphere and pulls decent acts but biggest downfall is the beer selection and pricing. There aren't a lot of options and everything is way overpriced. We typically pre-game at the house or Penny Lane before we head in just so...More

We had never been to a concert here until Rhiannon Giddens was scheduled here. We always enjoy visiting old theatres and love when they are either renovated or still in business. We loved seeing all of grand architectural details. Concert-wise, we sat on the front...More

Not entirely sure what is “usual”, but the music concert we attended ended around 11:15PM. Doors opened at 7:00PM, Concert began around 8:10, and there was one intermission. I expect it depends on the act or group... More
