My family and friends have a New Year's Eve tradition going back multiple years. Every year on New Year's Eve, weather permitting, we visit Lewis Ginter to see the amazing light displays, the gorgeous glittery Christmas trees and the toy train room. This year was no exception - the lights were gorgeous, with lots of characters, plants, animals and bugs... More

The gardens are skillfully laid out along the rolling slopes leading to ponds and the original 19th century house. All plantings are meticulously identified for you, in case you may want to seek them out for your own use. There is a playground for the children and an expansive greenhouse for the adults interested in tropical exotics. In short, something... More

We happened to go on a day in February when the seasons seemed confused and there was a touch of spring in the air. The daffodils were almost blooming and one or two flowering trees had jumped the gun on the seaon and started to bloom! Even if this was not the case, this is a great place to walk... More

This is a wonderful place to walk around, even in winter, with the walkways and lake. The conservatory is a marvel, and has a hall dedicated to orchids, just fabulous. We could have spent hours in the large gift shop, and the cafe was quite decent. We can't wait to go back in the spring!

It was a fun evening strolling the gardens. The lights are fabulous. It is exciting to look for animals and plants made from lights. The landscape is just beautiful. You can stop to get a bite to eat or hit chocolate. So worth the fee.

A few years ago, my wife "dragged" me to a Christmas lights show at Lewis Ginter, and the following year we became annual pass holders. The regular social events are a great, cheap way to justify getting out of the house. The pathways and walkways are well maintained and the flora is very well labeled. Be sure to check their... I went on a school field trip. The grounds and plants were definitely worth seeing. Everyone I know who has visited has raved about it. Highly recommend. Note - to see the grounds, it requires a lot of walking. Wear sneakers / comfortable clothing.

its a nice outing with family. Wish restaurant had better hours and a nice ambiance, although we never got to enjoy it as it always seems to be closed whenever we visited.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review, and specifically for mentioning dining at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. I'm sorry that the Tea House was closed during your visit. I'd like to clarify the dining options and dining hours here at our garden. We have two restaurants on site, the Garden Cafe and the Robins Tea House, overlooking the... More

They do such a great job with the combination of lighting and foliage to make Christmas Holiday times feel so special. Worth the cost of the ticket, do go!

Went here several years ago just to eat in the Tea Room restaurant. The Garden is wonderful and we really must plan another visit this coming spring.
