We were there on opening night of the light display. Best I have ever seen! Better than National Zoo in DC or the Denver Zoo. Be prepared to spend 90 minutes or so to take it all in. Concession stands ran out of food and...More

Wow, thanks for your wonderful review! We love that we are the best light show you've seen. We even find that some visitors spend 2 hours exploring interior and exterior spaces. Next time we'll be sure to make more hot cocoa!

Very nice and friendly help, took our picture by the big tree. Lights were beautiful and large amount of them. Had a warming station and a place to purchase hot drinks outside.

Fabulous! We were awe struck at the volume of lighting displays. The best evening walk and such a great place to bring the entire family. There was something for kids of all ages! Highly recommend this as a Christmas tradition in Richmond!

Yes, it is amazing even if you aren't "into flowers." Throughout the year they have special events and Christmas is one of the best. They have miles of light exhibits, doll houses for the girls and a model train display for the boys. Girls and...More

We enjoy walking through the gardens a throughout the year. There is always something blooming, and we love watching the fish in the ponds. The orchid displays are amazing.

Still plenty to see in October both outdoor and indoor in their large greenhouse. The orchids are especially nice. Also they often have special events on weekends which are often enjoyable.

as a local, I think the recommendations to eat at the Gardens is best. If you have more time, consider dining downtown, or in the FAN District, or the Museum District....just research the web. So many options in our city.
