AMAZING Destination!!! Close enough for a Day-Trip from Cagliari.
Oct. 2018 • Family
We took a trip here for our day in port from a cruise. We had an excellent guide for the whole day, I learned so much about an island that will for sure bring me back to it for another trip. The dunes of Port Pino are amazing, as Floridians... we know beach! Our beach day was a rain-out for the morning, but the long walk of the length of the beaches and climbing the Dunes are one of a kind experiences. There is a lot of parking available and in the summertime, this place must be AWESOME. When we visited, the beach was deserted, but the water was cool and so clear even on an overcast day. There were two dining options with beach chairs (for rent) just on the portion we explored. Arriving here, following the coast took about 2 hours driving time and the return trip through mountain roads was more like 1.5 hours. In Cagliari to catch our boat, we still had ample time for a wonderful (spectacular) lunch at a local restaurant suggested to us by our guide.

Gorgeous beach with few points to consider
Aug. 2017 • Family
The beach is absolutely stunning like a heaven on earth. Yet, there are some nuances about the area. If you do not speak Italian, language barrier could be an issue as majority of the restaurants do not provide menus in English. In August sunbeds have to be reserved.

Clean pleasant beach
Aug. 2016 • Family
Visited this beach with the family on Friday 26th August. It is a nice clean beach with two or three little bar type places who have their own sectioned off areas where you can rent the pre placed sun brolly's and loungers.

It was not overcrowded but was busy. There are also life guards on hand, a draft peace of mind, although the sea is not deep unless you go really far in.

The water is clean and clear and toilets are available with a key from the cafe bar you use. Didn't notice any showers!

Recommended beach to visit. Have a few boat rides from here too that hotels can sell you but may be cheaper to approach them directly.

There are paid car parks for the breech costing 4 euros for a days parking.

Lovely sea but a few too many sunbeds
Jul. 2016 • Family
It's hard to say a Sardinian beach is average- here the sand is white, the sea is blue and there are plenty of cafes for snacks and lunch. The area is beautiful with pines, and at the end of the beach is a white sandy stretch that feels more natural. However a few too many sunbeds for my liking, we prefer the beach natural. There is great parking though and an animal friendly section.

Quiet beach hotel
Aug. 2015
A pleasant hotel situated next to the lagoon. A Quiet location with easy access to some lovely beaches and a few eateries, you really need a car to explore the area. The room was adequate, basic and very clean. All communal areas were exceptionally clean. Housekeeping staff work very hard. The pool area was beautiful but while we were there everyone seemed to go to the beach and we had the pool to ourselves, bliss! The breakfast was typically Italian and plenty of it. This hotel is very good value.

Breathtakingly gorgeous sandy clear water beach

We were here for kitesurfing but struck gold it was at Porto Pino. The white sand stretches for miles... Literally! There are plenty of bars with sun loungers and parasols or plenty of room to set up your own. But bring string to tie your own parasol down, it's windy.

Step into the sea and it's shallow for about 50 metres... And actually pretty warm for June.

Parking is via a long bumpy track if you want to be by the Dunes... and you do, it's spectacular. Look out for the sign pointing left to the dunes just after the lagoons where the flamingoes are. Drive slowly past the houses to be polite and then take your time, it's a pretty drive and you'll enjoy seeing the wildlife. It's €5 to park all day and there's plenty of space. Pop over the bridge, walk the path and enter paradise.

nice beach, great kitesurfing
Aug. 2013 • Family
One of Sardinias best beaches. Place to go to with kids while the adults can try kitesurfing in the nearby Porto Botte.

Beautiful Beach
Jul. 2011
A wonderful beach! The white sand, turquoise sea and the dunes make this beach look like heaven but you have to walk a bit beacause just outside the parking lots it was really crowded!
