Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited museum and were amazed how well it is organized and maintained. I visited many archaeological museums in the world bit this one stands out. It is both modern and connect you to ancients. Many museums are quite boring but not this one. The design and artistry of presentations and exhibitions are superb!

Very interesting museum. Very much worth the visit.
The lady who sold us the ticket also took the time to give us a fantastic guided tour of the incredible collections of the museum, housed in a beautiful building at the edge of town, with a parking right next door.
She was amazingly knowledgeable and made the region’s incredible history alive.

The museum itself is quite well displayed, signs also in English and quite "interactive"...
the tophet is underwhelming and the usual disappointing...when you have taken a long drive..

A very lovely museum with lots to see plus it includes an outside exposition too. I found it wonderful. I can't forget that the staff was very kind and nice :) I recommend you stop by.

Ps.: The staff knew Spanish! We were pleasantly surprised since we know the bare minimum when it comes to Italian. They tried their best so that we could understand everything. Also there are English translations in the museum so no need to worry ;)

We happily spent a couple of hours here. The free audio guide really helped illuminate and highlight the amazing history of the island. Fabulous archaeological finds dating back to the Phonecians, the Nuragic, Romans etc.

I could also recommend the small gift shop which had some Sardinian jewellery which was of overall better quality than many of the touristic shops nearby.

There is a few vending machines selling drinks, snacks and ice cream are on site, but no restaurant or pizzeria.

Highly recommended if you are visiting the island.

Our visit happened on a rainy day, and we were not expecting an exciting visit from the museum located in this quiet corner of Sardegna - wow!
We were confronted with a very friendly guide, and an involving story of ancient cultures and their open attitude towards each other. We discovered many interesting details of the life lead hundreds of years b.C. and left our visit inspired and happy - definitely a must-see for anyone who is travelling in this area of Sardegna!
Small bonus: there is a very friendly cat who follows around along with the guided tour, and who enjoys cuddles.

Thank you to the attentive and welcoming staff of the museum!

Interesting displays, and well signed in English. The trophet is interesting to view as well. Very helpful staff, though limited in English they provide a printed translation for the outside tour.

On the day we visited the museum was open for free as the local school children were conducting a project where they explained all of the exhibits. I'm sure that they were very interesting, but my Italian is nowhere near good enough for a historical talk. Most exhibits had an English explanation, very interesting especially for those with a penchant for the Phonecians and Carthaginians.

This is a surprisingly big place, full of fascinating artefacts.
There is a video describing aspects of the pre-history and history of the island. The 'nuraghe' culture is given a high profile, but there is a lot about Punic, Phoenecian and Roman settlement too.

This visit can be combined with outdoor tophet, burial area,
From nuragic period, for just a little more money. Worth it.
Say to understand order of time periods. Very few models, just enough. Hands on exhibits for the blind. 20 minute video explaining all the sites on the island. Exhibits also in English
We could have stayed another hour easy.
