Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The cave is great and deep … but as french tourists we got the audio guide and was left on the side of the visit : the guide person totally ignored us.
We visited other caves in Sardegna and this one is still a great place to see.

We had a fantastic tour of the cave system with our guide Luca, whose knowledge and enthusiasm for speleology made the visit most interesting. In my opinion, it is a ‘must visit’ attraction in southwest Sardinia. On the plus side, I borrowed a pair of trainers and socks from the reception area as my sandals were not ideal on the damp walkways.

Beautiful cave, but listen to the audio guide before you enter the cave. Our guide could only speak proper Italian and completely ignored the foreign families. There was one Italian family and 5 foreign ones ;-) so no guidance on COVID or any reference to the various chambers, pretty rude behaviour for a guy into the touristic sector. Regrettable. Anyhow, enjoy the cave which is (again) beautiful, and the low temperatures (approx 16c).

We visited here because of other good reviews and we were not disappointed. A great place to visit to escape the scorching summer heat of Sardinia. The guided tour was only in italian, so we didn't understand anything the guid said. There are audio guides in english, german and other languages which are very informative and highly recommended. Unfortunately being the only non-italian speakers we felt a little excluded because the guide gave much more detailed ( and apparently funny) information to the crowd. It didn't help that the audio guides are quite loud when played. If you don't speak italian, just let the group move on and stay back a little and enjoy the grotto with the audio guides provided. The tour takes about an hour.
We had lots of fun and would recommend you visit here!

Definetly worth the visit! As opposed to other attractions in the area, you can enjoy this sight also in your native tongue because there is an audioguide available in different languages. Therefore i can definetly recommend the "Grotte di su Mannau" for foreigners as well as Italians.
The visit took more or less one hour and it was definetly worth the money.

Cave is not famous among foreigners but should be top destination if anyone plans to sightseeing anything apart from sunbathing in Sardinia. Entrance is 10€ adult / 6€ child 6-12 years old. This is best cave I have seen in entire Europe. Hard access though mountains and serpentines, but beauty of the cave recompense it. We were the only English speaking tourists so probably that’s why guide speaks just Italian and French, but there is also English written guide book. In the cave is stable 16 degrease temperature so even in summer need to have some long sleeve. Sightseeing takes approximately 1 hour.

The map on TripAdvisor is the wrong location for this cave, so you need to enter the cave name into Google to obtain the correct location. The cave was meant to be opened at 9.30am, so when we arrived at 11.15am and was told the tour would start in 15mins, thirty minutes later the tour guide took us to the entrance of the cave and explained in English that only the first 500m is opened to the public and the reminder of the cave is 9km. When the tour started we was given cards in English containing ten pages - a page for each checkpoint. So we was disappointed that during the actual tour in the caves the tour guide only spoke Italian. Was the cave great, we if you haven't seen any caves before then yes, but compared to other caves, it wasn't anything special.

Really enjoyed the excursion and I want to mention the guide who was really nice and very knowledgeable of the history and creation of the caves!

A really nice setup, the guide is passionate in French or Italian. Luckily for those who do no master these two languages there are leaflets in English or German. Explaining all.

The guide takes you down a well set up path to explore this grotto. You can see some nice lakes, river beds and beautiful stalagtieten and stalagmieten.

Outside is a nice rest place we’re food and drinks are sold.

Although the pictures on the advertisements looked promising, we did not get the opportunity to witness these miracles of nature with our own eyes, as upon arrival we noticed a sign telling us that the caves were closed due to maintainance works. Which was quite disappointing...
