The park is huge and has an interesting history. There is also a pond and a garden. Many squirrels and other animals too. Nice place to go, during the day, of course!

We went to Cambridge Common with our grandson (2 years old) and our adult children. The food is reasonably priced and very good. Staff is friendly and attentive. Great place for lunch or dinner with kids in a relaxed atmosphere.

This is our go to spot when in Cambridge. The food and service are always good and the menu varied enough for everyone.

This park can be visited in conjunction with a visit to Harvard. It has historical significance as it contains the Washington Elm where Washington assembled his Troup's in 1775. It also houses the Civil War Memorial, a handsome structure in the centre of the Common. At the Eastern end on Dawes Island see the brass footprints where Dawes' horse walked... More

Cambridge common is a public park in Cambridge Massachusetts giving beautiful greenery with a big playground. It is said that George Washington had gathered his troops during American civil war. Its having war memorial and statue. Nice to have walk around.

After endless construction, Cambridge Common has undergone a bit of a facelift. There's some history attached, but the highlight for me (and my granddaughter) is the wonderful playground.

Kemp Playground on the edge of the common is the greatest playground I have ever seen. There is a giant sandpit, and a water pump. There are also buckets on pulleys, a conveyor belt, and other building tools. Along with climbing structures, slides, swings, and a sprinkler. My 2 and 4 year did not even look for me for at... The common is a wonderful area and our favorite was walking the store fronts on Mass. Ave. and everyone was quite friendly.

Visited here during our visit to Cambridge. It has a nice playground for kids that is fenced in, so you don't have to worry about them wandering off. There is a nice sand/water element there that was a big hit. Good place to let the kids burn off some energy. Be careful what you put into your GPS - there... More

Nice park for the kids on one end is the real attraction. Adults can glance over toward the restaurants that might be up next on the agenda.
