Welcome to Harvard Square Each year, over 8 million men, women and children visit Harvard Square. Visitors come for a variety of reasons; this is a place of history, of books, of ideas, and of learning. It is a place of bookstores and coffee houses, of fine dining and eclectic shopping. It is a place of folk music and old theaters, of Cuban ballet and world-class music, of street-performers and award-winning pizza, of public discourse, and public art. Whatever brings you here, we welcome you and hope you enjoy your stay.

Very convenient to visit. Get off the 'T' right at Harvard Square. You can explore the beautiful city streets, shop and eat.

Brand: Harvard is everywhere. They own pretty much every building in the Square. After all, they were there before Cambridge existed. Books: The Coop, Harvard Book Store, Curious George - lots of bookstores which is very rare these days. Bedlam: vagabonds, street music, chaotic traffic,...More

Harvard Square is the bustling center of Cambridge, but else there is not that much too it. Many Harvard Univ. stores, souvenir stores, coffee shops and restaurants...... only a stone throw from the Harvard Univ. campus

While in Boston, several of our group wanted to see the Harvard University campus. Quite impressive, as we walked around the grounds. Visited a few of the bookstores, as well, and purchased our Harvard t shirts!

While I wasnt sure exactly what to expect it, I had heard about Harvard Square many times. Turns out its a bunch of retail, some beat up buildings and vagrants.

Lots of homeless people. Wander through if you are visiting Harvard University but do not go out of your way. Beat Brasserie unusual and very good for dinner.

We came across to go to the nearby Natural History museum but took time to look around the area. But, were we in the wrong place? Harare Square has no particular redeeming factors. The shops and restaurants we saw were mostly uninspiring. We were somewhat...More

There's something for everybody ... bookstores, cafes, museum, restaurants... and where else can you find a busker with a sign "I'm not intelligent enough to have a witty sign." You get that kind of irony only on Harvard Square! Be prepared to find the crosswalks,...More

The reason I am reviewing here is because I saw recent reviews that broke my heart: “nothing special, sandwich shops, homeless people, touristy” and, I can understand how it may look like that, to the casual observer. Because, if you’re looking at reviews or reviewing...More

Parking there is difficult and paid in the streets infront the square I would recommend to take the red line and enjoy walking around
