Started Day 3 here with the little ones from Hotel Ranga to Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon. Easy to walk up to and get rainbows with morning light. No crowds and great photos. Need more?

Not too crowded but as good or better than some of the really popular ones. Right next to it is another waterfall that is in an amazing setting about 1/2 a mile away. Get two falls at once.

Definitely take the paved road 261 to this waterfall. We took 250 and it's a long gravel, bumpy road that annoyed me at times. Lol. Once we made it only a few people were there. You can get real close to it. It's a tiered...More

We had this less popular waterfall all to ourselves at sunset and it was so peaceful and a wonderful beginning to our trip to Iceland. Take the time to stop here!

We stop to see the falls, and to take a break. A nice photo-op. There are a few picnic tables if you would like to grab a bite to eat (as long as you brought something).

After a few days in iceland you will have seen dozens of beautiful waterfalls. This one is another. It is off the ring road just a short way on 261, so there is a good chance you will have it all to your selves. Very...More
