We made a point of stopping off here. Pretty busy, large car park requiring payment (by card). A series of high waterfalls look at, with close access for the brave. Facilities also available. Walk on a bit from the first busy one to find other...More

One of the most spectacular and largest waterfalls on the southern route this place gets pretty busy. First and foremost don’t forget to pay for parking! Aim to get wet as the spray is pretty powerful. There are some smaller waterfalls to be seen as...More

This is the only waterfall in all of Iceland we found where you have to pay for parking (700 Krona). There are tons of tourists so be ready for lots of people to deal with and photograph around. The steps behind the waterfall get slippery...More

Beautiful waterfall, especially behind it at sunset! Ir was crowded, but I loved this waterfall and being able to walk behind it. You do have to pay for parking here.

This is the one you can walk behind. You will get a little wet. It’s slippery. There will be a lot of people taking selfies.

This is a very popular attraction on a south coast tour of Iceland. Unusually there is a fee of ISK 700 to pay for car parking and toilet facilities, but the parking is not time limited and entry to the waterfall itself is free. As...More

This place is amazing. You can stop at the shop and then walk along the path to go behind the falls. This would never be allowed in the US as the path is mostly unimproved and seems a bit dangerous. You can get right behind...More

My husband and I visited on 9/10/18. It was pretty crowded but you can navigate to take a pic without random people in it. Everyone was friendly and courteous. We didn’t go behind the waterfall because I didn’t want to get soaked- It’s in the...More
