The view was spectacular, especially when we go behind the fall! Do bring your raincoat or your Waterproof jacket as I could guarantee you would become all wet after going behind the fall!

Visit as many waterfalls as your program allows...they are all unique and interesting...we loved them all. The access is pretty simple everywhere

There are not too many places that I am aware of that you can actually walk behind the waterfall and out the other side. Definitely enjoyable! Great photo opportunities all around. We had come prepared with our rain gear outfits on (head to toe) and...More

You can walk behind this waterfall unlike many others in Iceland, and it is fun to get the full experience. The footing was secure along the path, not a hard walk. Take rain gear to avoid getting wet from the spray though.

This waterfall is really pretty but walking behind it adds a whole new dimension and feel. Definitely add this one to your list and then walk down and see Gljufrabui waterfall further down the gravel path

Must see when you travelling to Iceland, accessible from main road, but they charge 700ISK (£5 Jan 2018) to park. The ticket is valid for 24 hours which I think is expensive when I consider that there are lot more breathtaking waterfalls with free parking.

This is an awesome waterfall. But to really understand it's power and beauty you have to walk behind it and feel the powerfull mist on your face. I did walk down to the hidden waterfall in the rock but it was closed off to public....More

All waterfalls are cool, but this one has an unusual advantage. Climb up the right hand side and walk the mud trail behind the waterfall! Comes out on other side where there is a long set of stairs coming back down. You may get a...More
