This is one of the most underutilized buildings in IL. It is a beautiful specimen of architecture. I'm told that if you call ahead and make reservations you may reserve the Mansion for special occasions if the Governor is not using it!
I didn't know this existed until I was actually in Springfield and only saw it from the outside, but certainly worth a picture. After all, it is where the Governor lives of the 5th largest state in the Union.
i wish to thank the staff the night we stayed at the mansion the food and service was something we will never get to experiance again in our lives. the decorations and room were beyond anything we could have expected.
