This wonderful private museum, owned by the Shea family, is loaded with gas station and oil company collectibles and is an internationally renowned, must-see Route 66 landmark.

They have sold the property and had an auction. they are no longer open for visitors. There are many other attractions for the route 66 travelers to see.

Unfortunately owner passed away and the station was sold along with belongings. :-( The person who bought some of the items is hoping someday to make it another Rt 66 attraction

No need to stop here. It is fenced off an no longer is an active tourist place :-( We were doing a Route 66 drive and this was on our list. Pretty much bummed out.

This site has been closed and dismantled since the death of the owner. Some of the memorabilia has been shifted to Fulgenzi's around the corner on Sangamon Avenue across from the state fair grounds.

Just the shell of a white building with a fence around it. Very disappointing that this couldn't have been preserved.

They were closed when we go there so I don't know if there's a lot more when they're open. Good photo op for the Route 66 traveler.

It's a mess of junk behind a chain link fence. It may have been quite notable at one time, but right now it is just an eyesore. Such a shame.

One of our must see attractions on our Route 66 trip. Was just what we expected, well worth looking out for, the only thing that spoiled it was that it was fenced off so you couldn't get very close to the memorabilia.
