very interesting to think that historical figure came from Nebraska. I'm glad that plaque is here to remind us of his struggle.

Was a very nice and unique location. I'm glad I saw the area but I feel like more should be done in the near future.

When I saw birth sight I thought it would be the house he grew up in or at least a replica of it. All it is was a street sign that said Malcolm X that had no street and the building for visitors was closed it actually looked abandoned and the grass was not tended to. I was so disappointed... More

We toured the information center and learned about the Malcolm X Foundation. You learn about Malcolm X but you also learn about things the foundation is doing to help their community which is pretty impressive. It was a learning experience and worth the time.

Feel like there could have been more to see or do at this site. There was just a sign, and open fields. A nice fountain or trail would have been more visually appealing.

If you are in Omaha, viewing this piece of history is certainly worth your time. Note that the memorial plague is behind the community center and cannot be seen from the road. A member of the foundation that maintains the site was there at the same time we were. He acted as our tour guide and provided information regarding the... More

Great to remember an historic personality. They could have done some more for Malcom X, but still it is good.

this place showed a bit of history. was well kept. seemed a bit un developed yet. it was clean, but had limited restrooms a nice place in warmer weather. not much shelter from cold weather if they are even open in the cold season.

When I saw birthsite, I thought it would be his actual house that he grew up in (however, I learned later that it was burned down, I should have known better!) All it is a remembrance sign dedicated to Malcolm X but nothing else. They had a visitor center that was not open, so it was really a waste of... More

This place was closed when we visited on a Tuesday afternoon, The grounds were NOTHING, There was no sign that had what hours they WOULD be open, There was nothing outside the visitor center other than a poster or two about Malcolm X that had been done by school children, There si so much potential for a place like this...
