I remember going down the slides when they were first installed. The Gene Leahy Mall has been through. A lot of changes over the years. I especially like the water features. Then during Christmas time all the lights.

Nice to have green space for a leisurely walk after lunch or dinner. Several blocks long and sunken from the street level, a nice attraction for downtown Omaha.

Great place to take the kids after a walk in the Old Market. They will love the slides. It is a part of Heartland of American Park.

Its a great 'secret' trill for kids and adult. Just bring your own cardboard or canvas to slide it with for a smoother ride down.

I grew up going to these slides. My parents used to bring us downtown to slide on wax paper and we had a blast. What a great time! Fun for adults, too :)

In existence for over 20 years, this unique metro water mall park is a great quiet place to visit. Go for a great walk in a nice place. Unique in a metro area!

I believe that the deepest point is 12 feet, but the river walk itself is much shallower than that. The current is basically nonexistent and I have never heard of any problems or accidents in all of the years that it has... More
