Very beautiful architecture

Beautiful architecture. I wish it has the information in English. Took a lot of pictures. Just beautiful!

The Basilica in Weingarten is one of the famous Basilicas that you will find on your tour of Germany. It is a beautiful place to visit and is like most catholic churches beautiful ornamented. When in Weingarten which is just a few minutes from the city of Ravensburg it is a perfect place to sit down and give your life... More

The main building has whole walls and clear glass which cause you gaze upwards. The frescos are vivid and attention grabbing. The sense of perspective created by the artist is amazing. We were privilege to have a tour which really helped us understand the art and the building.

This Church sits above the town with nice views and gardens. The inside is spacious with some lovely and ornate art pieces I would not travel to Weingarten simply to visit here, but is you are there it is certainly worth an hour of your time to look around.

Left the busy downtown and visit the nice, bright and quite space inside basilica. Don't worry to check door handle on entrance.

At the top of a hill in Weingarten, this is a super place to watch the sunset. Well worth the walk up!

If you happen to visit Weingarten for any reasons, it is definitely worth it to visit the church, especially if you love architecture and arts. The details of the building outside and the beautiful paintings inside are grandiose. Of course it is not comparable to other basilicas. But considering the remote area of the village with only 23 thousands population,... More

The "mini" Basilica is a MUST see. The inside of the church is breathtaking! We were told it is built to an exact smaller scale of the St. Basilica in Rome. The fresco paintings on the vaulted ceilings are mesmerizing. The alter is breathtaking. And the organ pipes are some of the most amazing in all of Europe. From the... More

Comparisons to St Peter's are misleading. The church is very big, certainly, but the size isn't all that dramatic. Aesthetically too. It has none of the breathtaking beauty of, say, Steinhausen. So go if you're in the district, but don't expect too much. At the beginning of January there was an impressively large and elaborate wooden Nativity scene on show... More
