We booked the helicopter tour for our family of six to go to the Grand Canyon. My husband is a veteran and they gave him a discount. Other helicopter companies say they will but actually don't. We had a picnic lunch overlooking the Colorado River...More

I agree with Maclee69. Trip is an absolute delight and you shouldn't miss it. Door to door indeed about 4-4,5 hours and actual flight time is about 2 hours. You can do the tour at several times per day, the sunset tour is a bit more expensive (about $50,- per person) but definitely worth it.
You can book the tour at the concierge desk at your hotel or at a small shop on the trip (across the street from the cosmopolitan). At the concierge desk you usually pay around 450-500 per person. On the strip prices are around 400-450. So booking on the strip is a bit cheaper but booking at the hotel gives you a bit more security and comfort.
