We drove out to Hoover Dam from Las Vegas and spent a few hours out there looking around. Its an interesting place to see. I would have a look when your in that part of the USA.

Definitely more cost effective to rent a car, but if you prefer not to drive, there are tours to the Dam from the strip. Enjoy it!

I suggest you go to the Hoover Dam website for up to date information. It is undergoing construction until March. Parking is $10 and you might have a walk depending where you park. The power house tours are limited due to... More
