very impressive but everything cost - the parking and even the entrance to the visitor center! We just hiked around - seem to be enough.

It is about 30 minutes drive from Las Vegas, and quite popular among the foreign travllers. The construction is amazing and Lake Mead is fabulously beautiful.

The tour is very interesting ($15 per adult), and cool (a welcome respite from the outside temperatures). The dam itself is an engineering marvel
