You have to pay for everything here. Parking, to see the visitors center, for a tour, execrate . It was pretty to see. I really enjoyed walking around but everything cost money and I found that to be a disappointment. Oh and bring yourself lunch,...More

Several of us stopped to check out Hoover Dam prior to out trip to grand canyon. We got there ok early and had no competition for parking. We did not take any tour and feel we saw just as much as and bus tour could...More

Hoover Dam was part of my Grand Canyon South Rim package. The dam is a marvelous structure! Some of the views were beautiful. The bus driver who was also the tour guide kept throwing a lot of facts about the dam. The souvenir shop has...More

What more can I add to what others have already said. It’s Hoover dam. Incredible history and in engineering marvel considering the time it was built. It’s so neat to stand on the Nevada side and then walk over to the Arizona side while crossing...More

It is impressive to see. Smaller kids weren’t too impressed though. There’s not much to do other than just see the dam and walk across the bridge. The tours and the museum are not free either. Still worth going to see once.

Hoover Dam is truly one of the man-made wonder of the world. You can park for free and walk while sight-seeing. Another option would be the full tourist visit with fee-based covered parking, a guided tour through the Dam, and a trip to the gift...More

Worth a look if you’re in the area. $10 parking fee gives you access to walk across the dam. We were limited on time so the power plant tour (additional cost) was off the cards. Probably 30 minutes of oohs and aah’s and a dozen...More

The dam is impressive in both it's size and scope. The best viewing area (other than on the dam itself) is from the adjacent bridge where you can get an eagle's eye perspective on this amazing structure. This is a MUST SEE !!! Highly Recommend.
