Seeing this landmark in movies still doesn’t represent its grandiosity in real life. The history is intriguing and the museum is full of rich stories about the construction of this man made wonder. It’s a short scenic drive from Las Vegas and well worth it....More

The dam itself is impressive. Pass up the first parking lots for $10 and go across the dam for free parking. Nice views and you can walk back to the other buildings and too see the dam better. One of my favorite things was reading...More

I was here years ago and couldn’t believe how low the water level has dropped. At this rate you need to get here sooner than later.

My wife and I visited Hoover Dam and joined a tour to go inside the Dam to see the generators and the tunnels. After that, we walked across the top of the Dam to cross the border between two States of Nevada and Arizona.

Amazing on every level , the scale , the resources involved and the beauty of the structure. If you are near the area go and see for yourself - a modern wonder of the world.

We traveled to the Dam in our RV. There is plenty of parking on AZ side and it's free. You have to walk back to dam but it's an easy walk. The lines are long for touring the dam. Not sure if you can buy...More

I have dreamed of seeing the Hoover dam for years and it does not disappoint at all. Take the power plant tour to give you a better prospective of what you cannot see from the outside it is worth the $15 price.

I don’t know that the day makes a difference. I’d go first thing in the morning to avoid crowds.
