its a nice park for the kiddos

I came here with my niece and she loved it as there were some ducklings nearby. I felt a bit unsafe at times but it is a goodplace with a group of friends.

While checking out Anchorage I decided I wanted to visit at least one of the "beach" areas of the city to see what they were like. We drove to this beach on a lake and I was surprised that it was fairly busy. It was late June and the weather was really nice that year. They have a roped off... More

I thought I would go swimming here. When I arrived, I found the shore and the swimming area dirty. Yuk. There is a nice picnic area, though (away from the lake, to the left at the end of the parking lot).

The lake itself is pretty dirty. Kids didn't seem to mind the grossness, but as a self-respecting adult, I have no desire to get in that water. The best part about it is that if you hang around long enough, there is usually an ice cream truck that sells soft serve that comes around on hot days.

I wanted to go swimming in a natural body of water with my son when we visited Anchorage. The weather was abnormally very warm so we took a cab Goose Like. I'm glad I did. My 11 year old son had a great time in water and played with the other kids. I mostly just laid in the sun. There... More

We went to Goose Lake on a warm sunny day and enjoyed seeing so many people playing in the water, BBQing on shore and just lazing in the sun. Easy to find and so enjoyable.

Great wilderness oasis in Anchorage for swimming, sunbathing on warm, sunny days sandy beach on north shore. A bike trail wraps around the east side of the lake and links you to University of Alaska Anchorage Campus to the south.

I've taken my kids swimming a few times this summer and had a great time every time. It is clean and have lifeguards on duty. We have never had any issues with leeches or swimmers itch.
