I enjoy this multi sport trail year round. It’s a beautiful setting of the mountains and the water. I walk, xc ski and bike this trail.

Several specialties plus often a rare migrant added to the usual resident waterfowl and shorebirds. Connects to the Tony Knowles Trail so you can access the nearby coast just down the trail with a short hike.

The walk along the lagoon is lovely in August. The grasses are tall and green, the fireweed is still in bloom and the waterfowl abound. Take time to appreciate the beauty.

What a fantastic place to walk, jog, bike or walk your dog. We walked the Tony Knowles Trail from downtown to this location. I loved the electronic sign that recorded how many bicyclists went by each day, month and year to date. At this point...More

We live within a block of the lagoon and walk to Westchester Lagoon just about daily. It is pretty easy to get to from downtown via bicycle or on foot via the Coastal Trail; it is about 30 minutes from downtown on foot. This is...More

Go here to see bald eagles close up! I saw one as soon as I stepped onto the boardwalk, seconds after arriving! It flew over about thirty feet above me, holding a fish in its talons and being chased by seagulls! My family and I...More
