A guide in a fancy coat and top hat walks you around Anchorage and narrates a series of stories involving murder, suicide, and modern paranormal encounters. They're interesting and some are downright jarring. He tends to ramble though, and the tour starts out dull, but the stories get consistently better as the walk goes on. Good way to kill some... The ghost tour of Anchorage is very informative and engaging. The guide Rick leads the group on a walking tour through downtown Anchorage with frequent stops to speak about the ghosts in the city. The tails range from about 100 years ago, when Anchorage was founded, to recent history. The tour gives a different perspective of Anchorage and one can... More

As it is still fully light out when this tour takes place in July it is hard to get a ghost or paranormal feel. Sun doesn't set until after midnight in July The guide had a lot of interesting stories to tell but it was not spooky. As a solo female traveler just arriving in town it was nice to... More

The tour was nice, very informative and the guide (Rick) really knows his history of the town. I was expecting more ghost tales than history lesson. That aside, it was a nice walking tour. We learned a lot about the town and and did hear some tales of ghost.

Was looking forward to this walking tour. The stories themselves may be interesting, but the guide is a bit tired and not very engaging. He doesn't have much energy and keeps speaking regardless of whether the group is engaged.

Well, if you've seen all the other sites in Anchorage (earthquake park, museums, segway tour & weekend market, which sold a ton of 'junk' to empty a few garages) then this is the next item on your list. It was my 1st 'ghost' tour, done at the bequest of my girlfriend. Honestly, it was a bit boring at the beginning,... More

As a local, I know most of the stories, however, even I found the tour to be fascinating! Even if you don't go for the ghosts, go for the history. This tour will show you the sites of infamous ghosts of Anchorage (and provide the stories of how they became ghosts). But wait, there's more! Each stop along the tour... More

Ghost Tours! The first expression on my face was of ignorance when my wife suggested this on our trip to Anchorage. I was hoping till the end that there will be rain and I will not have to be a part of this silly adventure. However, my prayers went unattended and I was in the tour along with my wife... More

A walking history tour of downtown Anchorage while learning about some of the early deaths of the town. Ghost Tours is a walking tour, so wear comfy shoes. I think we were almost 2 hours of walking/standing. Tuesday-Sunday nights. Leaves from in front of Snow City Cafe. Get there early so you can pay and get your sticker for the... More

This is a great way to see Anchorage. The guide was incredibly knowledgable and a very engaging story teller. The time flew by!
