We had a rotten rainy day but the cruise was still great. There was warm inside seating. They provided raincoats if you wanted to be outside. The narrator was informative and could be easily heard inside or out. We got very close to three glacier.

We were part of a group and must say, despite it being damp, they gave us a good hour and 15 minutes trip to see the Glacier. Wrap up really warm and take a windcheater if you want to go up top and outside. You...More

If you have time on your hands or have never seen a glacier, this trip would be worth your time. Personally, I thought it was really boring. It is a one hour trip but you boat out to the glacier which was about a 10-15...More

This is a great way to see a glacier without spending a entire day to do as the trip takes about an hour. The parks service gives an excellent narration of what glaciers are and what to look for along the way and you get...More

The captain and crew members were all very knowledgeable and gave really great information with any questions answered. The Ptarmigan vessel was roomy and comfortable and allowed for great viewing and photo opportunities, both inside and outside.

It was pouring rain the day we went, but that makes the glacier appear even more blue! Don't let the rain scare you away. The staff were great and very friendly. We did go up top to take pictures.

Had a great time today on the 60 minute tour/cruise. Definitely something that needs to be considered when in the area and you definitely have to look hard at the weather as the conditions are exacerbated once you are in the water. The crew was...More

Although it is considered a "small" glacier out of the many glaciers in Alaska, it was a great introduction for us about glaciers. The view was spectacular and we saw just a small amount of calving. The naturalist and the staff were very knowledgeable and...More

Bottom deck enclosed, top deck open. Great vistas crossing Portage Lake, be taken right up to the Glacier, put your camera on burst and don't miss it calving!

Hi, We visited 8/2017. The Cruise have a daily Departure at 1:30 pm. We got a ticket from Grupon and save tons of money for a family of 4.
