Park with plagues of national history

This is a nice strip of park land located between 9th and 10th Avenue. It has a monument to the men who died fighting in the past few wars. There are benches to sit and relax.

I was completely screwed up with the time zone change coming from Jersey. After the first night I was wide awake at 10 pm and decided to go for a walk. I popped in my earbuds and walked the entire 11 block park a few for about 2.5 hours. Of course, being so far north, the sun didn't fully set... More

This is the 13-block-long, one-block-wide park strip that runs between 8th and 9th in downtown Anchorage. In the summer, the 4th of July parade route circles it, and the strip is filled with food vendors, live music and attractions. Soccer teams practice, people use the tennis courts, fly kites, take lunchtime walks, play softball, and lay on the grass, soaking... More

This city park in downtown Anchorage was once an airstrip and a golf course. Now it is a pleasant open green space that is one block wide (between 9th and 10th Streets) and 13 blocks long (between A and P Streets). The park is frequently used for events and festivals, and there is a lot to do if you want... More

This is a very long, open field park. The grass was nice and people were having picnics when we walked in to check it out. Great for playing ball or throwing a frisbee. Clean grounds.

We went to Delaney Park for the 4th of July celebration. It was a great place to spend the day and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Large, open green space with a playground, also has a steam engine once used on the railroad. Plenty of places to sit and relax.

It was a terrific idea to convert the former airstrip to a community amenity such as this great park. Found ourselves in the vicinity on several occasions and enjoyed it.

Beautifully kept park, some vagrants. Lovely rose garden, food trucks are supposed to be at the park near K st this summer. Sweet place for a picnic or just relaxing. Veterans memorial, sports fields and a monument to Dr King.

So I work with kids. I sent a field trip here last summer and one of my staff accidentally got poked with a needle when she was trying to pick something up from under a picnic table. Slightly disturbing. Other than that, it's all good.
