Located in the heart of Anjou, the Bioparc is the only troglodyte zoo in the world. Over 1000 animals live in an exceptional natural setting dedicated to the protection of endangered species. Dug into the rock and naturally air-conditioned, our tunnels will lead you from one environment to the next. A trip filled with emotions in a true mineral and vegetal labyrinth!

Great zoo hidden from the road, well thought out trail to follow with lots of species to see. Animals have plenty of space and the walk through enclosures are wonderful. Feeding the Giraffes was the best part, they were just stood waiting to greet visitors.

My family and I enjoyed our visit to the biopark of Doué La Fontaine. The biopark occupies the site of a former stone quarry. Its management has succeeded in making optimal use of this original location. In particular the zone with the birds is memorable....More

Superbly laid out and with plenty of fascinating habitats, this one of the best animal parks I have visited. Very smart restaurant overlooking the giraffe enclosure. Top tip though is to check the feeding time board at the entrance as it is the only place...More

The best zoo I have ever visited:the magnificent South American aviary, which you can walk into, and the birds fly around you.The giraffe and zebra enclosure is spectacular. The walkway is set on the top of the quarry. Restaurant food is 10 points.

This is a stunning zoo, well laid out with magnificent enclosures which seemed to echo wild habitats with natural barriers instead of cages. Lots of interesting information boards most of which had English translations. We had a lovely meal overlooking the giraffe enclosure too, food...More

What a fantastic place to visit. Troglodyte caves, landscaped enclosures and so much more. Teenagers were fairly well occupied - it's hard to keep their attention for long anywhere - and it felt like great value for money. Highlights- bat cave, aviary and monkeys. Vultures...More

On two levels some were walk through with lots of birds flying over head. Only down side was that some enclosures seemed a little small and toilets were not best. Despite this it was a really enjoyable day out.

It's better to take a taxi cause it's quite a long way from the down town to the Bioparc. Have a nice visit ! The Bioparc team
