The Thai wife and I decided to make our way to the waterfront as sunset neared and made a spur of the moment decision to ride the Great Wheel. Within 15 minutes of making the decision we were on-board in a pod with just the two of us. We were told we would ride for three revolutions however by the... More

Upon leaving after our fun ride, signs directed us into an adjoining restaurant. As my husband uses a cane and has trouble walking, this was very annoying. After pushing our way through the crowded seafood restaurant, we had to negotiate a long stairway down to the dock and the way back to the street. There must be an exit directly... More

The lines were short and the operation was pretty efficient loading and unloading. The views were pretty good. Not a must-do, but fun.

He thought it might induce motion sickness; she thought it might be scary. She didn't tell him what she anticipated; he didn't tell her what he anticipated. Neither told the other, and they ended up on the Wheel. He thought it was great; she barely opened her eyes. It was very smooth. It was great. He wrote this.

Great "to do" in Seattle! Wonderful views, climate controlled, enclosed cabins. More than once I went with people who were scared of heights, it went well, but a couple tips we found helpful: Need to sit still , don't move back and forth, that will make the cabin stable, won't rock that much, and encourage the person with anxiety to... Later read in the paper wind gusts were up to 53 mph during the time we were on the wheel. Lines were short! LOL One lady hit the buzzer to get out - but my daughter & I L.O.V.E.D. it. we were rockin' a bit, had a great view of everything, and had a whole car to ourselves. we switched... More

It wasn't busy when we went and we didn't really have to wait. We went around 4-5 full times I think. The little compartments are rain proof so there is no worry about that. Each one can fit up to 8 people. Our almost 2-year-old seemed to enjoy it too, and he rode for free. They took our stroller and... More

It is such a touristy thing to do. My friend and I enjoyed it but our box was so hot and there was no air circulation. I can't imagine how hot it would be in summer time!
