A great boat trip from Seattle to Blake Island. We could clearly see Mt Ranier and the boat ride was very enjoyable. It was narrated nicely and we learned a lot about the Sound. Take the boat ride over, enjoy the Salmon bake and relax! Recommended!

We go to blake island quite often by boat. You can get there by a personal boat, or through Argosy cruise line. If boating is your way of transportation and you want to hook up to power, i suggest getting there as early as possible. It is first come first serve. We have an annual marine pass which is useful... We took the boat over for the 4 hour outing, the price of the cruise included a buffet style meal with salmon as the main entrée and a show. The entire set up is over priced in my opinion. 76 per adult 66 for seniors per the website. Personally I couldn't eat the food it was to oily. The setting... More

We had the traditional clam soup on arrival after a pleasant boat trip - it was good to be on the water with the temperature well over 90 degrees F (!) and then the traditional salmon meal which was extremely good We made some purchases of prints and cards which made excellent Christmas presents for people back in the UK.... My mentor and I took our class here and the wildlife was one of the highlights. We saw a bald eagle, raccoons, a killdeer, etc.

We've been here on the day trip through Argosy several times in years past but were less than impressed with the food. Although it seemed stuck in the mediocre to not bad region there was much room for improvement. We offered feedback and apparently they've listened and acted accordingly. On our recent trip we found the food and service to... More

The best way to visit Blake Island is by private boat but Argosy offers tours/dinners during the spring/summer. It is a great place to let kids run free. Last weekend we visited with 40 other people on 18 boats. You can rent a shelter and there are BBQ facilities but no lights or power except in the toilets. We bring... More

Most visitors to Blake Island go for the salmon bar-b-que and Indian dancing. Skip this and hike the many trails, many leading to campsites. Take a picnic and explore the beach or set up your shore side camping. Truly a great, quiet destination with a marina if you travel by boat. The island is entirely walkable. Otherwise you can take... I almost hate to share this one, because it already can get a bit crowded on weekends and nice summer days. I have only been visiting the island for 60 years, and it has not yet disappointed me. 5 miles of hiking trails if you want exercise. The area next to the marina is beautiful and the view towards Rainier... More
