Lake Washington beachfront homes are expensive. Especially the one owned by Bill Gates. You are able to get scenic boat rides on the lake, find a few very good restaurants located here, and a number of excellent parks including Washington Park Arboretum. One of the...More

Lake Washington is one of the best things about Seattle. It's large with lots of parks on both sides. Great for swimming on hot days, great place for picnics, walks, and riding a bike. If you're visiting Seattle I suggest you make time to spend...More

We usually access Lake Washington two ways (although there are many others). We walk there by way of Magnuson Park in Seattle (and the offleash dog park there). We also walk along part of it when we follow a trail in the UW Arboretum. People...More

Beautiful view of the lake and mountains in the background in this elite section of Seattle. We went there mainly to see Kurt Cobain's home which was gorgeous and overlooking the lake. I believe that you probably have to Uber here or rent a car...More

Local sewer used to drain into this lake. Often simmers at local beaches would see paper and other debris associated with untreated waste water disposal. Glad that most of that has changed over time.

We parked the car at Lake Washington for a view. I am from Florida and wouldn't touch water under 78 degrees, so to me is freezing! We saw crowds of swimmers on the beach and, surprising to me, enjoying the cold waters at Lake Washington....More

I actually had not heard about this until your question, I plan to also go check this out now since it's not too far from my neighborhood. Hope you get the chance to visit.
